Everything you need to know about helping babies pull to stand, cruise, and walk without their hands… all in one book.
Pulling to Stand & Learning to Walk is the fourth book in the Proactive Play series, written by Pediatric Physical Therapist, Dr. Lauren Baker, to help ambitious parents and pediatric providers learn how to help babies pull to stand, cruise, and walk.
It is meant to help ambitious parents understand baby development from nine to eighteen months, including pulling to stand (on furniture or parents), cruise (walk holding onto furniture) and walk both with and without assistance (push walkers, hand held assistance, and walking without holding on!). This book is a mix of easy-to-follow and more in-depth information than is typically found in baby development books because Dr. Baker believes parents deserve to have all the information at their fingertips.
This book breaks down each piece of movement in checklists so that parents know if their infants have mastered all of the pre-walking skills they need and rule out any movement blocks! It also covers how skipping crawling can impact walking, why babies need to pull to stand on both sides, common walking struggles, and areas where previous movement patterns could be causing trouble, including: babies that are happy sitters, booty scooting, hitch crawling, or prolonged army crawling.
What you’ll learn & have access to.
