Everything you need to know about helping babies crawl on their hands and knees
all in one book.
Learning to Crawl is the third book in the Proactive Play series, written by Pediatric Physical Therapist, Dr. Lauren Baker, to help ambitious parents and pediatric providers learn how to help babies crawl on their hands and knees.
It is meant to help ambitious parents understand baby development from nine to eleven months, including getting in and out of sitting (9 month milestone), getting in and out of all fours, and crawling on hands/knees. This book is a mix of easy-to-follow and more in-depth information than is typically found in baby development books because Dr. Baker believes parents deserve to have all the information at their fingertips.
This book breaks down each piece of movement in checklists so that parents know if their infants have mastered all of the pre-crawling skills they need and rule out any movement blocks! It also covers the seven disadvantageous ‘crawling’ patterns, why they aren’t the best, what is often causing them, and how to move from them into hands and knees crawling. If you’ve ever been told skipping crawling is okay, make sure to read this book to find out all the reasons developmental therapists do not recommend skipping crawling and what negative consequences skipping crawling can have down the road.
What you’ll learn & have access to.
